This structure is great for people who like to stick extra stuff into their journals. It is a hard cover variation of a long stitch. The spine is wider than normal to accommodate extra growth in the text block without bulging like many store bought journals do. This book also lays totally flat so that it is comfortable to write on both sides of the pages. Students will choose from a variety of book clothes, end sheets, interior papers and threads. We will create our covers, fold the signatures, and sew a book. Students will leave with materials to make another book at home.

Students will be able to recreate this book at home with a steady hand by cutting binders board and paper, purchasing materials for this can be an investment, as you will typically need to buy in large quantities.

I also sell kits with all materials that can be purchased for recreating more journals at home.
